The Washington State Association of Veterinary Technicians (WSAVT) was established in 1975. The WSAVT is a non-profit organization representing a membership of veterinary technicians, veterinary technician students, and veterinary assistants.
Our Purposes:
- To promote the profession of veterinary technology.
- To foster continuing education programs with the objective of disseminating the importance of proper and current practices for veterinary technicians.
- To maintain and improve the social and economic standard of veterinary technicians.
- To promote positive legislation and to speak for veterinary technicians in regard to legislative actions.
- To establish and facilitate efficient cooperation between WSAVT and other veterinary medical organizations.
- To establish and maintain a ventral bureau for reference and assistance in matters pertaining to veterinary technicians and the veterinary profession.
